These costs are important to my household because of the damages. Some of the hurricanes have caused damages to my house such as trees falling or having to replace the patio screen. The climate changes from freezing to hot have caused us to use more air conditioning throughout the house. In addition, all the pollution is probably killing us slowly but surely.
ReplyDeleteThese projected costs to my family means that we are going to lose money. Climate change doesn't seem that big of an issue but it actually is. Climate change can impact your home by the smallest things like air conditioning to unforgettable damage by a weather disaster. We can also expect to see less revenue in our economy this year because the timber industry so that means more debt we can't pay off.
ReplyDeleteClimate change creates many costs to the economy, which are relayed to the consumers. Climate change has a huge affect on the food and agriculture industry. The raised costs of producing food creates increased prices to consumers, like my family. Also, pollution creates many extra medical costs to American citizens. This causes health insurance companies to increase their premiums, which also leaves less income for my family. Overall, these projected costs from climate change have a direct affect on the costs to average consumers, like my family.
ReplyDeleteI feel that Climate change can effect the economy because it changes the way you live. For example say because of a snow storm your crops die that will definitly effect the economy. Also it changes the way you live because if it usually doesnt snow somewhere and suddenly it snows you would have to change your commute in getting to work or you might not be able to even get to work.
ReplyDeleteClimate change affects our country's economy in many ways, and imposes many costs that in turn affect consumers. As the costs of agriculture rise, the cost of food rises as well in supermarkets. Added pollution increases medical costs, and leaves families with less spendable income. Climate change is a major issue all counties face, and definitely has some effect on every American.
ReplyDeleteThis climate change is going to cause an increase in household expenses. These increased expenses will be from utility i.e. water, air conditioning, etc., as well as from normal goods. The economy is going to be affected from this climate change which puts expenses on the consumer as well. Costs of agriculture will increase as well as costs from pollution and weather damages. This all ends up costing the consumer in taxes to clean up the waste, increase in produce costs, and medical costs as a result of the increased pollution.

The future climate changes will not only affect my family by increasing the amount of money spent to maintain my household, but also by increasing the price for the many medical issues caused by the pollution. Agricultural products will also rise and more environmental disasters will occur such as wildfires. This affects us also by taking more money from our taxes to invest in clearing the damage and restoring beauty. All in all, global warming has a bigger effect than we tend to think, and it does not end with just our environment.
ReplyDeletePrimarily, the climate change that exists in American today will raise household expenses that most Americans cannot afford. Because the GDP is suffering as a result of the climate change, many Americans may be forced to pay more in taxes to combat the deficit that will inevitably follow. The increase weather disasters that are attributed to the climate change can severely put my family and our real estate at risk. For example, Florida residents, we are already prone to hurricanes, if these hurricanes are becoming more prevalent the chance of one of them affecting us directly is increased significantly. Finally, the actual weather conditions can take a toll on the supply and the demand for farm grown food; if the supply of vegetables decreases, there will be a global shortage of food which will not only act as a monetary cost to American families, but also it can cost them their lives.
ReplyDeleteClimate change induces more costs on every family. Natural disasters take billions of dollars to clean up, money that is supplied from the taxpayers pockets. Climate change destroys the environment and resources making access to those harder and more expensive- once again, more costs to everybody. Disasters brought about by climate change destroy homes and costs thousands of dollars to repair to affected families. Cleaning up after climate change is expensive and its a cost implied on us, the citizens. Yes, doing our part towards a greener earth requires hard work and lifestyle changes but it has to be done to reduce higher costs in the future.
ReplyDeleteThe change in the earth's climate effect's humans in a variety of ways. From different things like food consumption to the house's maintenance. If climate changes occur that cause damage to the things humanity has already built all that work has gone down the drain. Not only are there costs for new material resources to rebuild and reconstruct after disaster, but the cost of labor will also rise due to the demand curve shifting to the right. If crops are destroyed by irregular climate patterns this will effect the country's food supply making it difficult to obtain it. This will also shift the demand curve to the right and the supply curve as well, resulting in scarcity.
ReplyDeleteClimate change poses as a serious threat not only to the environment, but also our very own domestic tranquility. As Joseph Stiglitz research suggests, climate change is affecting our economy in a purely negative way. Climate changes is projected to cost the average household at least $3,000 by 2030, and continue to rise soon after. This mean the average American family will have less income to spend in the global market place which furthers the damage to our economy. Not to mention the billions of dollars that must be spent on the ever more powerful acts of nature that continues to ravish our country at an increasing rate of destruction every year.
ReplyDeleteThese projected costs will affect my family and I by having us pay more for food products, due to the increased prices that are meant to try and cover the costs of production. Also, climate change will impact how we pay for our medical care, since there will probably be more pollution causing more health problems. Additionally, if the climate gets hotter, my family would use air conditioning more, increasing the amount we will have to pay for our electric and utility bills. Furthermore, if extreme weather disasters occur, that will cause my family to pay for damages or for any other things that would be affected by such events.
ReplyDeleteClimate change could have many negative effects on the well-being of myself and my family. Though our net income would be enough to buffer most of the rising costs on families specifically, the other effects of climate change, such as increased frequency, severity and cost of weather disasters (for us, namely hurricanes), and the increase in American deaths could theoretically cause harm, either physical or monetary, to myself and my family.
ReplyDeleteAccording to this article climate change would have a drastic effect on the economy. This wouldn't only have a drastic effect on the economy but will affect my family as well. Although my parents make enough money that it wont effect us in a major way many households will see major cuts in spending money and possibly even living money. Since this climate change projection is over the span of a few years i don't think that it will have a very significant effect on traders and stock owners. The climate has always effected the economy in many different ways and i don't think it will be anything out of the ordinary over the upcoming years.

ReplyDeleteThese climate changes will affect our econonmy in many ways, and imposes many costs that will affect consumers. As the costs of agriculture rise, the cost of groceries rises as well. Added pollution increases medical costs, and leaves families with less spendable income. Climate change is a major issue all counties face, America none the less part of this major problem.
Climate change is a serious problem for our environment and economy. Research shows that climate change affects the economy in a negative way. Changes are estimated to cost about $3,000 around 2030. They should continue to rise. Because of this, families will have less money to spend. This will continue to damage our economy. Lastly, billions of dollars must be spent on the horrible weather tragedies every year.
