Welcome. This is a blog dedicated to the students enrolled in the CSHS AP Economics classes. Click on the title of the article, read, and click comment.
Obama is more anti-business than Bush. This is clearly illustrated in the chart in the article. Obama suppotrs unions and does not have any CEOs in his cabinet. Obama studied law while Bush studied business. There are many clues pointing to Obama not liking businesses, however, this might change. Obama is realizing that big businesses affect the overall economic stabiliy and he now needs to factor this into his plan to help revive the economy.
ReplyDeleteObama is by far more anti-buisness then Bush. It's stated in the article that Bush enjoyed being around the business type people, he studied business, and even had business people in his cabinet. Obama favored the unions, academics, and activists.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like Bush more actively acted as if he were for business, surrounding himself with CEO cabinet members. Obama act more anti-business, favoring unions. But their actions were a bit different from the front they put on. Each of them have had to respond to the economic issues resulting from bad decisions made by, often corrupt, banks and big business. Because of voter demands following the start of the recession, the presidents have been forced to make rather similar decisions.
ReplyDeleteObama is certainly more anti-business than George Bush ever was during his presidency. As stated in the article, business in general played a large role in Bush's life. He attended Yale for business and stood in the same social circles with other high-profile business figures. Obama is focusing more on moving away from free enterprise and supporting socialistic ideas.
ReplyDeleteObama is obviously more of an anti-business than Bush was. He prefers the organization of unions, which commonly usher corporate campaigns, where they negatively scrutinize corporations for anything that detrimentally affects the welfare of the work force.
ReplyDeleteThis article shows that OBama is more anti-business then bush was. Bush studied business in school while Obama studied law. Not only his education shows anti-business ways but also he has no business people in his cabinet and he also supports unions. Obama is clearly anti-business
ReplyDeleteObama is clearly more of an anti-business than Bush was. Bushe's cabinet was filled with CEOs while Obama's was filled with activists, academics, and unions. It doesn't matter if Obama is anti-business or pro-business because in the end, there's really not that many courses of action that he could take. I just wish that the future presidential candidates would stop deriding each other's methods of solving problems since they will probably end up doing the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of them are anti-business. Obama seems quite business friendly, I have to respect his business policies myself. He seems to be wanting to do the best for America. I can't argue that Bush was more business friendly than Obama is, since Bush was often in cahoots with major corporations, however Obama hasn't really displayed he is anti-business.
ReplyDeleteObama is definitely more anti-business than Bush. The article supports my opinion because it says that Bush had business people in his cabinet, he socialized with business men, and he also majored in business. Obama has no business people in his cabinet and he also studied law in college, but he is leaning more towards what is best for the country.
ReplyDeleteAccording to this article, Obama is more anti-business than Bush. There are many facts that support this statement. Bush studied business in school, socialized with high profile business people, and some of his cabinet members were also business people. Obama studied law instead of business and supports unions. Furthermore, he does not have a single business person in his cabinet. All these facts seem to suggest that Obama is more anti-business than Bush.
ReplyDeleteThe article suggests that Obama is more anti-business than Bush due to the make-up of his cabinet and issues Obama has advocated. While Bush invited many CEO's to be members of his cabinet, no CEO's exist in Obama's. Obama has also encouraged unions and activists which seem to work against big-business.
ReplyDeleteObama is certainly more anti-business than Bush because of the people he has surrounded himself by and his recent actions. Bush wanted to be around businesspeople but this is not exactly the case with Obama. Obama is more interested in unions and activists. It seems as though he wants to relate more to the common man than to the business man.
ReplyDeleteThis article shows that Obama is more anti-business than bush. The people in each of their cabinets will help to prove this. Obama, doesn't have any business men in his, while Bush had many CEO's in his.
ReplyDeleteObama is more anti-business than Bush. This difference is evident just by looking at the people in his cabinet and his recent actions. They are geared towards the common man, where as Bush's were to attract the business people.
ReplyDeleteobama is more anti business than bush. obamas actions and bills are geared towards everyday people and bushs actions are geared towards the upper class businessman
